Since the beginning of the year the decline in production both in industry and agricultural sector was recorded in Crimea. This data is provided in the “Summary on the socio-economic situation of the Republic of Crimea in January-February 2015” that was published on the Krymstat website.
In particular, industrial production decreased by 2% as compared to the same period last year. The highest decline rate was recorded in the mining industry – 23% and in the processing enterprises – 11%. At the same time, there is the increase by 23% in electricity, gas and water production.
Agricultural production declined by 6.4% in January-February 2015 as compared to the same period in 2014.
As a reminder, according to Krymstat, vegetables and fruits became twice as expensive since the beginning of the year in the peninsula.
