Production is slowing down in Crimea

экономический кризисSince the beginning of the year the decline in production both in industry and agricultural sector was recorded in Crimea. This data is provided in the “Summary on the socio-economic situation of the Republic of Crimea in January-February 2015” that was published on the Krymstat website. 

In particular, industrial production decreased by 2% as compared to the same period last year. The highest decline rate was recorded in the mining industry – 23% and in the processing enterprises – 11%. At the same time, there is the increase by 23% in electricity, gas and water production.    

Agricultural production declined by 6.4% in January-February 2015 as compared to the same period in 2014.

As a reminder, according to Krymstat, vegetables and fruits became twice as expensive since the beginning of the year in the peninsula.
