Tons of food liquidated in Crimea

The Rosselkhoznadzor (Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance) officers seized 1.2 tonsof Polish apples and hot pepper from the wholesale warehouse and disposed at the MSW landfill.

яблокиThe press service of the ‘Rosselkhoznadzor’s department for the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol’ informed about that.

“The products forbidden to import to the Russian Federation with an overall weight of1.2 tons were discovered at the Simferopol wholesale warehouse in the course of a planned (patrol) inspection of regulated products storages. The Polish origin of products owned by an individual entrepreneur was determined based on the manufacturer’s label on the pack,” the message says.

As a reminder, about 30 tons of agricultural products prohibited for importto the Russian Federationwere destroyed during two summer months in Crimea occupied by Russia. In July 2015, the President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the disposal of prohibited products (food embargo).
