Crimean “authorities” recognized milk deficit on the peninsula

Crimea experiences a milk and dairy products shortage. Occupants bring them from the Krasnodar Krai.

молокоAs the press service of the Crimean “parliament” reports, the “chairman” of the State Council’s Committee on economic, fiscal and tax policy Igor Lukashev informed about that.

“By the way, Crimea experiences an acute problem of dairy products shortage, we bring them from Krasnodar,” Lukashev said and added that they hoped to solve this problem by means of subsidies and investments.

According to the “deputy”, Crimean “authorities” have not yet decided what 1.7 billion rubles of state subsidies allocated to support crop and livestock development programs would be used for, because there are many problems.

“We don’t know yet what exactly these funds will be used for. Yes, the funds were allocated, but they should be properly distributed, and it takes some time. The Ministry of Agriculture of Crimea is dealing with this issue. There are currently many problems,” he said.

As a reminder, the largest dairy plant “Krymmoloko” was closed up. According to the general director of the company Timofey Ananyev, the main reason for the enterprise’s closure is in its unprofitability.
