A gradual repression of Protestantism takes place on the peninsula. A pastor of the protestant church “New Life” the bishop Anatoliy Kalyuzhny informed about that, Sobytiya Kryma reports.
“There is a big probability that if this continues, then protestant organizations will be outlawed and won’t be able to function properly, rent accommodations. In other words, a very delicate way of repression of Protestantism takes place,” Kalyuzhny noted.
In addition, the pastor noted that it became known that individual indoctrination of leaders of churches by Russian security officials started in Crimea. A separate database of church leaders that monitors their contacts with church members from mainland Ukraine was created.
Kalyuzhny added that none of protestant communities has reregistered according to the Russian legislation in Crimea thus far.
