The National Bank of Ukraine cancelled the decision to recognize immigrants from Crimea as non-residents.
The NBU Resolution No.810 of December 16 contains amendments to the Resolution No.699 “On the use of specific norms of currency legislation during the regime of temporary occupation of the territory of the free economic area “Crimea”.
According to the UNIAN, the document says that “An individual, who is an internally displaced person and received a certificate required by the Ukrainian law and confirming his/her residence on the mainland of Ukraine, is a resident of Ukraine. For the purposes of identification of an internally displaced person the address mentioned in the certificate is considered to be the place of their residence.”
As a reminder, the NBU Resolution No.699 on the recognition of all Crimeans as non-residents of Ukraine and blockage of corporate accounts was adopted on November 3.
