The former Prime Minister of Japan Yukio Hatoyama, who arrived in Crimea some days ago, plans to stay on the peninsula in the event that he won’t be allowed to come back. TASS informs about that.
The Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Crimean Federal District Oleg Belaventsev said the former prime minister of Japan: “If your democrats make you go through tough times, we will welcome you here immediately. Stay with us, friends are always welcome in our place.”
In response, Hatoyama said that he left open the possibility to take advantage of the offer from the Plenipotentiary Representative.
“If there is such a danger, I don’t rule out that I will take advantage of the invitation of Mr.Belaventsev. I am grateful to him for that,” Hatoyama said.
As it was reported earlier, one of the leaders of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan Takashi Fukaya suggested to deprive Hatoyama of passport. The former prime-minister assumed that such sharp statements of the Japanese politician are related to the fact that he competed with his brother in one of the legislative districts in the last elections.
As a reminder, the trip of Yukio Hatoyama to Crimea was made in defiance of the ban of Japanese politicians.
