Mustafa Dzhemilev doesn’t want to let hostilities in Crimea, therefore he opposes liberation of the peninsula this way. He announced that during the discussion “Annexation of Crimea, a year after the offense” in Kiev.
“We do not see liberation of Crimea by force of arms. The fact that nuclear weapon has been brought to Crimea is not certain. But it is for certain that there are containers with the title “Russian, nuclear danger” there… In case of military actions there, a terrible disaster may happen…. During the military clashes Crimean Tatars will be destroyed in the first instance,” Dzhemilev believes.
He says that intensification of the US sanctions can be the solution of the question.
“We place big expectations on the sanctions. They should be very effective to make the aggressor state ask Ukraine to take Crimea back.”
As a reminder, the General Secretary of NATO Jens Stoltenberg is concerned about the possible deployment of nuclear weapons in Crimea.
