атрThe Crimean TV channel ATR can stop broadcasting starting from April 1 if it is not re-registered under the Russian legislation. The media 15 minutes informs about that.

However, the TV channel is trying to re-register but the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) returned the documents for formal reasons.

As the ATR general director Elzara Islyamova informed, this week it turned out that Roskomnadzor declined to consider the application of the Crimean Tatar TV channel once again.

“We haven’t received an official letter from Moscow yet, but already know that the answer is negative,” Elzara Islyamova said.

Other mass media, which are included in the ATR media holding company, such as children’s Crimean Tatar TV channel Lale, FM-radio station ‘Meidan’, the Russian-speaking radio station ‘Lider’ and the information portal 15 minutes, also faced with a risk of being closed.

Earlier, the Crimean radio station ‘Lider’ was not allowed to participate in the competitive tender for the right to carry terrestrial over-the-air broadcasting in the territory of Crimea and Sevastopol.
