A large chain of stores that was selling electronics and household appliances in Crimea – Comfy – stops its activity on the peninsula. Svezhaya gazeta reports about that.
As it turned out, the brand of the store chain is leased and its owner doesn’t want to risk because of sanctions. According to the media information, the brand was put out on lease last summer. “Many foreign companies don’t allow to sell their products in Crimea, another problem is related to the warranty maintenance of items, it is also problematic to deliver good to the peninsula and then take out the money. In fact, now Crimea is a separate business in another country, so any company should review the practicability of operating there considering its sales,” the development director of Comfy Margarita Razumova explains.
Today there are five supermarkets of the store chain in Crimea – two of them were in Sevastopol and three stores in Simferopol.
