Crimean “authorities” take 3.5 billion rubles loan from federal budget

budget tanCrimean “authorities” are planning to raise a loan of 3.453 billion rubles from the federal budget to partially cover the budget deficit of the peninsula. The “Minister” of Finance Vladimir Levandovskiy informed about that at the session of the “State Council”, Kryminform reports.

According to the “Minister”, credit funds are raised at 0.01% interest per annum.      

“This loan is given us by the Ministry of Finance as cash gap, that is, today they don’t have the resources to replenish our budget. The interest rate is 0.01% per annum, we will have to repay about 1.5 million rubles for this loan before the end of the year,” Levandovskiy said.   

Funds will be used for social projects.

In particular, 2 billion rubles of the loan will be allocated for the “Ministry” of Education and Science, 98.9 million rubles – for the “Ministry” of Sports, 641 million rubles – the “Ministry” of Public Health and 314.2 million rubles – for the “Ministry” of Labor and Social Protection. Most of the funds are intended for fire prevention measures almost in all departments.  

“1 billion rubles – for fire prevention measures, 1 billion and 39 million rubles – to pay full wages for employees of municipal educational institutions of pre-school and basic education,” Levandovskiy said about the financial implications of the “Ministry” of Education and Science of Crimea.

According to the amendments to the Law on the budget of Crimea for 2015 introduced at the session of the “State Council” on July 8, its revenues increased up to 96.3 billion rubles due to transfers from the federal budget. Total expenditure was increased by 4.6 billion rubles up to 112.8 billion rubles, and the budget deficit – from 12.4 billion rubles up to 16.4 billion rubles.
