In occupied Crimea, the number of sheep and goats decreased by more than 100 thousand animal units compared with 2013.

In particular, according to statistics as of May 1, 2016, 226.5 thousand sheep and goats as contrasted with 336.8 thousand animal units as of May 1, 2013 were recorded in “Russian” Crimea.
There is a similar situation in other livestock sectors. For example, the number of cattle decreased by 28% – from 169.8 to 121.9 thousand animal units; the number of pigs decreased by 11% – from 169.4 to 153.1 thousand animal units; the poultry population by 14 % respectively – from 9784 to 8381 thousand units.
As a reminder, according to Krymstat, in January-November 2015, the
reduced in comparison with the same period of last year in Crimea.
