Sevastopol “authorities” are concerned about actions of Russian troops on the territory of the reserve of Tauric Chersonesos, who, probably, embedded an ancient manor in concrete.

херсонесThe “chief” of the department for Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites Denis Protsenko said about that at the session of the City “Legislative Assembly”, as reported by the press service.

“As may be supposed, there is the ancient manor, the federal cultural heritage of the reserve of Tauric Chersonesos, at this place. We assume that this heritage property has been destroyed,” Protsenko said.

The official said that he failed to get to the Cape Chersonese and check this information for a long lime.

“We have been trying to get the Cape Chersonese for a long time. A very limited circle of people who are directly involved in the supervision activity was allowed the access only with the help of a military prosecutor,” Protsenko said.

According to him, the military allowed two specialists from the “department” for Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites and a professional archaeologist from the reserve of Tauric Chersonesos to come here. However, they have been provided with no information and not allowed to make photos.

Protsenko also promised that if they found that the concrete pad was located where the ancient monument was, the “department” would initiate a lawsuit.
