Ahtem Chiygoz went on hunger strike, in response, he was transferred to a punishment cell

чийгозAhtem Chiygoz, the deputy chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, who is in the Simferopol pretrial detention center, was transferred to a punishment cell in reaction to going on hunger strike. The deputy head of the Mejlis Nariman Dzhelyalov wrote about that on his Facebook page.

“As the Ahtem Chiygoz’s spouse Elmira Ablyalimova informed a moment ago, Ahtem Chiygoz, who is in the Simferopol pretrial detention center, was transferred to a punishment cell without any judicial decision, in reaction to that he went on hunger strike,” he wrote.    

As a reminder, Ahtem Chiygoz was detained on January 29 in the case of “February 26”.
