There is traffic congestion for departure at entry-exit checkpoints on the administrative border with the temporarily occupied Crimean territory. The State border guard service of Ukraine informs about that.
“The reasons for such traffic congestion are low checkpoint handling capacity and slow customs processing of vehicles by the Russian side. So, for example, today cargo transport queues at the checkpoint “Kalanchak” are 565 vehicles, 360 vehicles at the checkpoint “Chaplynka”, about 160 vehicles at the checkpoint “Chonhar,” the report said.
Ukrainian border guards and customs officers handled trucks that come from Crimea without delay, therefore there are no queues to the mainland territory of Ukraine.
The State border guard service recommends drivers to refrain from trips to the temporarily occupied Crimea unless the urgent need arises till the period when the queues decrease at checkpoints.
